Do these apply if you're just waiting for a sort-of certain job?

[…] I made these back in 2001 when I got laid off for the first time and found myself with all the time in the world on my hands:

1. Leave your apt before noon every day.
2. Exercise every day (works well with #1)
3. No drinking before 5pm.
4. No watching TV / no ~~reading blogs~~ wasting time on blogs before 5pm (except during lunch).
5. No taking taxis.
6. No eating meals when drunk.

I’m only 40% more unemployed but I think the rules still apply.
